Stoney, It's only gas and I have room, if you have a sleeping bag.

Thanks! It is tempting my friend! Shoot me an email when you set a date..who knows? But I am getting ready to make a fairly long trip to the east coast...so probably a conflict.

Hey Henry: if you're out and about on the board, I have a question. Remember when you installed my 3.0 you hooked up the old 2.7's hand throttle to give a sort of "choke" action when warming up? The choke action choked and became disconnected. I'm too lazy to try and connect it right now, but was wondering where it could have disconnected and how hard it would be to put it back together.

In the meantime, is it okay to just start the 3.0 and let it idle a little (2-3 minutes) so that it won't stall when I press the clutch in?

Thanks.

Stoney: I'm speechless! You need mirrors on your garage floor. Now if Henry only knew how to cut hair and tailor a suit...

Hi David
The hand throttle has a plastic piece right next to the throttle handle that wraps around the throttle linkage. This plastic piece is notorious for breaking. They cost less than $20.00 and only available at the dealer.
Part # 901 424 317 00 ? from memory.
Good luck

Good call on the part number, however, this part is indeed in our catalog (along with a whole bunch of other stuff):

fintstone,

that is one clean underside! Not only is it bone dry, but the hardware is positively gleaming! Good looking nether regions!

MJ: did you sell your car? From the few photos I saw, it was gorgeous. Sorry about the hard luck.

Thanks! I wish I could take credit, but that is the way it was when I drove it away from Supertec on 5 Nov '03 after they installed the 3.0. I have not cleaned it since then The 2.7 left an oilslick behind it as you drove the day before. Now if I could only get the body painted. It will do 0-60 under 5 sec with almost 10 year old street tires and a crummy driver. sounds great with the SSIs. It gets better gas mileage than my toyota. I drive it almost every day...relatively hard and have not had to do a thing to it. Not bad for a CIS engine. I can't imagine what that turbo at the top of the page will do in a light car like mine with an additional 100 hp.

Drool cup, please!

Henry: how difficult - and if you don't mind my asking - how much money would it take to duplicate something like that? What's the power range? Torque comes in when? 280 hp at "what RPM?"

Thanks!
