Question Upgrading pre-85 dash to post-85 dash

The 1984 911 dash is a write-off as it is not only cracked it is also warped.
Looking through Pelican I see there are new pre 85 and post 85 dashes.
What is involved in upgrading to the post 85 dash to get the better vents?
My windshield is out , gauges are out, pads are off, down to body, awaiting ideas...

Pelican Dashboards

Thanks
Todd

wooooo! I just noticed the pre-85 dash price jumped from $499.00 to $850.00!!

I should have ordered last month if I was going to get the pre-85!!

Why so much now??

doozer, Can you believe it??? I also called to order a dash pad for my 84 when i got informed of the price hike! I thought for sure it was a mistake but no. Help me look around it's still early enough that not all vendors have jacked the pad. If 850.00$ is the only way then that mod just slid down on my wish list about 5 notches. Damn!

Dam,

I was going to order a pad last month also. Darn. Maybe we can get a group buy?

the defroster vents don't line up real well, and the center vent is larger, so the dash metal needs to be trimmed a bit.

Thanks John!

The car was seriously molested by a PO so a little metal fitting is not out of the question.

I guess I would need the dash and the center vents.

Would I also need post-85 defrost vents?? My guess is yes.
