"959 style" shift knob & boot

After mangling the OE shift knob during a shift linkage freshening, i'm in the market for a new knob. Also, i figured that i might as well replace the tired leather boot that the PO put in. So, i came across this "959 style" all in one shift knob and boot from a certain *ahem* "Midwest" based vendor. I'd be interested to know if anyone has installed this and whether the quality is decent. Oh, and also if the boot is long enough to cover the OE shift lever.
