The Roach on a wet track, it handles well
in the rain, just have to focus on smooth transitions.  It was a garage
queen till I bought it in 2002 with 85k miles.  I think it likes it better
this way.

Some glamor shots from the PO, with polished Fuchs.

That looks great! Black cars (when clean!) look absolutely fantastic. Nice to see you are hanging onto it.

Cheers,

Ash

Alfred,

It's interesting that you learned a lesson that many of us have learned - when thinking about selling your Porsche, and then putting together a list of all the reasons it's a good car, you soon realize that IT IS A GOOD CAR and not worth selling.

With what would you replace it? Something with fewer miles, something with fewer options, something with less soul? Porsches are like wives - all the memories, all the love, and all the "investment" (and I don't mean monetary), can never be replaced by anything (or anyone) else. Sure a newer car can make you feel potent (as some "old" men trade in their wives for younger trophy women), but when your current wife says "dear, let's stay near the track instead of the beach, since we'll be spending all our time at the track anyway", then you know you don't need someone (anything) newer to make you feel happy and complete.

"Life" is not about new things, but about caring for the people and things you already have.

Keep enjoying your 911 - there's nothing like it - anywhere!!!!

Alfred,

Absolutely iconic 911! The paint finish on your car is like liquid and is a testament to you, the previous owners and of course Porsche. Wondeful car.

Andras, few have captured the essence of 911 ownership so well.

Congrats on a good decision.....and on the photography. Done by a pro? Some look as if they are from a Porsche ad or press release.

Hey one of your kids has his shoes on the leather!!

Your car has everything I would want in a 911....except the Carrera badge of course...I bleed SCWDP.

It looks waaay better with the blacked out fuchs.

I like how your lug nuts are not painted black on the top....adds a little more contrast to the wheels.

Pat yourself on the back for owning a beauty, good thing you didn't sell it.

Cheers,
Philip

The muffler is not shortened, some pics have the OEM muff still on. I will post a couple of tail pics this evening.

Andras
You are so right.

Paul
Will be happy to see you on the track!

Philip
Lug nuts are steel. The boys know to not have shoes on when they are playing 'Hotwheels' in the car.

What made me think of selling? A temporary lasp of judgement
