Any harm in using a smaller clutch?
Based on bad advice I bought a 215mm clutch (for a 901 trans.) instead of the correct 225mm clutch for a 911 type trans.
I'd hate to have to sell the disc and pressure plate as used and buy another 225 mm unit. I am well out of money on this project... Will there be any harm in using the smaller disc and pressure plate with the 911 trans.? |

The 215 mm clutch pressure plate will not work. It is a push-type pressure plate and will not work with the 911-version of the transaxle ... modified linkage and throwout lever for the first [1970 model] of the 225 mm pull-type pressure plates.
