These appear to be styling studies, which means they may never be built.

Much as I don't want to see a sedan, it's better than the rumored Porsche pickup truck...

I dont have any problem with them building a sports sedan, as long as it doesnt resemble anything else. It needs to be something original. Those pictures are obviously 2 different cars. The first seems to have suicide doors.

The first two are the current design study and the second two are an earlier one based on the 993. I hate them both. It looks like a hideous freak. If they insist on doing a four seater why try to butcher it out of the 911 shape - they ought to design it from scratch.

Is Butzi still alive? I can't imagine that someone responsible for the 904 and 911 can let a mess like that go out the door.

The left farmost car is the new design study. The text says that both 8 cylinder and 10 cylinders models are envisioned.
The other pics are the defunct "project 989" car.....many of the "hard" pieces, like suspension bits... were carried-over to the 993 and 996 as well, once the 989 project was cancelled, to cash-in on some of the horrendous development costs.
Actually, if you ask me...both cars look rather nice and I can see a four door looking like a 996.... as a better proposition than carrying-on the 911 name for the current 996. That, to me, is more sacrilege and is a marketing sham. The real 911's died years ago. Porsche at least had the "guts" to call the 911 a 911 ( or 901) in 1963, instead of having the "new" car called the "new" 356. Guts then.....spineless wienies now.
