Nice. Some questions:
Who did the 3.6 installation? Where did you source the 3.6 from? Was it considerably more expensive than just rebuilding the 3.2 (or whatever else was in the car originally?) |
me likes!!
I see you already got pulled over by that undercover car in the last picture:) Chris |
Now that's one thing I don't have to worry about!!!

moazam,
I did the install and got the motor from a guy on this board. I can get his info if you need it. I used the Timmons kit which can be seen at www.instant-g.com The cost was pretty close to what Timmons quotes as about $15k with the install kit, motor, cooling, and exhaust. I don't know what a 3.2 rebuild by a shop goes for these days but you could save alot by doing the rebuild yourself. I took the 911 engine rebuilding class from Bruce Anderson and Jerry Woods and found that it was very informative and left me with enough information to do a rebuild if I so desired. I decided to go with the 3.6 because you get alot of bang for the buck and it was a fun project. One of the guys on the board (Moses) was nice enough to let me drive his ride and that sold me - I knew I had to have a 3.6 conversion and even though I had a few headaches here and there, it was well worth it! |
Sweet! Which rear bumper is that?

Thats a hot car. What is its original year?

Very nice!
Well done :) Cheers, Tim. |
That's one badass 911, congrats. Is the RHS exhaust tip not symmetrical with the other one or is it just strange looking in that pic?
