Looks looks like that left rear tire is feeling the strain.

Jim,

Can you try this again where it fits smaller screen size? What was the file size for this?

I re-scanned the original photo with 5.4M file and then reduced it to 56K shown here.

My license plate came out just as I wanted, starting with an 8M file and ending with an 28K file.

This image was saved at 240K but when I post it is 4.3K and poor.

This image was saved at 56K but when I post it is 6.89K.

There is something happening that I don't understand.

Thanks for your help.

Best,
Grady

Jim,

Next try: Original scan 8.6m, saved as 89.9K, when I upload it is 2.77K and looks poor.
It should have been sized as the other two images.

Lame o'l me.

BTW, that is the same old 911 in the corkscrew at Laguna Seca Parade '72. Note the LR tire deformation on a XWX.

Best,
Grady

OK, let's try this one. Original was 9.52M, saved at 216K, and it uploaded in a flash.

Looking better. Why?

BTW, This was at Riverside, I think turn six. Note the difference in rear tire deformation left-to-right. The front splitter is up more than twice static clearance. All 600+ HP is going to the ground.

Best,
Grady

Nice pics - I don't know why mine came out better than yours, I know next to nothing about computers.

I just saved the giant pic from above onto my hard drive. I have Microsoft Picture It on my system, I just took the pic, reduced the size to around 3 inch by 8 inch, and saved it on my drive. Then uploaded it to the site.

Cool pics, neat to think that when the pic was taken of the 911, it was at the time a late model car!

This is the same 8.9M scan, saved at 865K, posted at 17.8K

Much better. I'm not sure exactly what I did.

I'm mutch better at driving Porsches than operating the computer.

BTW, Notice how much of the left tires are planted on the asphalt compared to the right tires.

Best,
Grady
