Why is nobody asking why the engine is in the wrong end of the car? Between the keys and the engine, the answer is clearly..... Butzi had DISLEXIA!

At least you know why he didn't follow SAAB's lead... Because CLEARLY the 1/2 of heater controls that reside on the floor instead of with their brethren on the dash would be in the way. That makes ALL kinds of sense.

Straight out of the Porsche Factory Training Manual (paraphrased): the key is on the left side because the design is inspired by the racing tradition of the running start at LeMans. I know this from being trained in 1989 as a Porsche sales rep.

LeMans huh? I did not know that they raced 944's and 928's at LeMans. Do they not also have the ignition key on the wrong side?

944s have the key on the right. That's why I refer to mine as the NARP 944.

Here's the real reason: Mr. Thomassoulo: Good morning, George. Is something wrong with your other leg? George: Oh, no, that's just the old handicap acting up. Mr. Thomassoulo: But your cane's on the wrong side. George: That's just because we're standing on opposite sides. See, when we met, I was over there and you were over here so the image was reversed, like in the mirror. They walk over to a mirrored wall. George: See? This looks right to you, doesn't it? Mr. Thomassoulo: Uh, yeah, I guess. George (passes cane from right to left and back a few times): But, see here. Right. Wrong. Right. Wrong. Right. Right. Wrong-- Mr. Thomassoulo: Will you stop it, George? Just stop it! I think I can see what's going on here. All of life's mysteries can be explained by a Seinfeld episode.
