Desperate for Pertronix help

Have a 67 912 with a 75 2.7s engine. I am installing a pertronix ignitior system. The engine is all the way intalled, but I am having problems with the ignition. I know the red wire goes to 12v switched, but where specifically does the black wire go? The info I have found says to go to the same place the point's negative wire went, but since I didn't start out with an enigne in the car, I am not sure where that is on the CDI box (A, B, C or D).
Thanks - Kris

Kris,

'D' is the double ground tab on the case of the CDI unit ... right next to the 3-pin connector ... though the engine wiring harness should have a braided ground shield that runs from coil to distributor to the CDI case ground.

I don't want to sound stupid, but just to make sure you are saying that the negative from the pertronix goes to the D on the cdi box? My engine didnt come with a wiring harness, so I have pretty much done this all through wiring diagrams... it's been a real PITA.

Yes, that is correct, though not all factory schematics show a 'D' terminal on the CDI box. Here is a Bosch publication page that doesn't show the ground tab on the case as 'D' though the ground connection is there without a label:
