I ducked mine, then took it off. But in general I think it looks better on solid colors like black and red as opposed to silver.

I considered a duck on my Cab...but decided against it because I prefer the clean, natural look and lines. Ducks go well on most coupes and some targas. Id keep it off if I had your car.

Duck it, it's a functional tail that will aid cooling & downforce, plus it looks better IMHO.

For some reason I love duck tails on coupes, but can't stand them on targas. I like it without.

Duck tails look good on older coupes, kind of dates your car, doubt it would actually be a driving improvement when your top is off, which with my Targa is most of the time.

I think the duck tail is the best tail Porsche ever made, so keep it on.

Keep the Duck!

The ducktail looks great coupled with the Targa's more robust rear styling. My guess is some of the "Coupe snobs" would rather not face the fact that the ducktail (one of Porsche's classic, hallmark aero devices) enhances the look of a Targa as much or more than a Coupe.

1973911s:

I hope you have taken advantage of the 90 degree+ weather and warm, clear evenings we have been having here in SoCal by taking your Carrera out for some top off cruises. I have myself. And, I must say, the experinece has been absolutely sublime...

The majority of magical moments with my 911 Carrera have been directly related to open top motoring.
