Looking for 3m "Window Weld" #949

Hello
I am looking for a 3m product called "window weld" # 949. Does anyone know where I could find this in the greater NY area or mail order?
Thanks
Jt

Here's one place http://shop.store.yahoo.com/levineauto/adhesives.html
I'd call a couple of Auto Body Supply places in your area. They most likely will carry.

I got mine at a local bodyshop-supply place here in the Hudson River Valley, upstream of you. If you run into any serious problems, let me know and I can mail you a can.

FYI. I used a syringe (hypodermic) with the needle removed to "inject" it into the windshield gasket-to-body area, if that's what you're planning to treat.

Thanks Stephan for the good information,
Yes, the plan is to fix a leaky windshield. It is leaking on the passenger side. I assume you had this problem too? (In the SC) Ricks link is pretty amazing. Contrary to popular belief you can't "get everything in nyc"! My only question is which product to use. Is it the 3M #8693?
Thanks Guys
Jt

The can I have is marked 3M Windo-Weld Resealant (Flow Grade) p/n 08633.

Frankly, since it's moderately expensive and one doesn't need a lot, why don't you just send me your mailing address, I'll put a goodly quantity of what I have in a jar or something and mail it to you. I've got a pint can and used probably less than an eighth of it.

You can e-mail me directly at stephwilkinson@earthlink.net.

Jt may be looking for a different flavor windo-weld.
I have model 999 and pn 3M8633. Jt posted looking for 949
It is real thin and I guess needle injection style.
It cost about $10 for a 20yr supply.

No no, you're not gonna inject the 8633 through a needle. That's why I said I took the needle _off_ the syringe, and I then drilled out the end of the thing with about a 1/16" drill.
