Stuck Throttle - Help W/Cluster
Running in a autocross today and the gas pedal stuck all the way down. I was able to shutoff ignition without incident and have found the problem. The pivot arm which connects the cluster, cable and rod to gas pedal bent outward and got hung-up on the sheetmetal edge. Se below.
![]() I bent it back and was able to drive home, but I want to make sure it doesn't happen again. My question is, can I replace this arm, and if so what's the part #? Can I re-enforce it somehow? Why did this happen? John

Thanks Paul.
Any idea how to prevent this again? Ther is no stop behind the arm to hit at full throttle. I have it removed from the car and it looks like a good backside weld will tigten things up. What do you think? John

Check your accelerator pedal hinge (it's a living rubber hinge); if it's failed on one side the pedal may be side loading the throttle linkage crank arm that bent. Jim

All the bushings were replaced a year ago. There is no stop on the accelerator pedal. Should there be one?
