Color Question
I have read countless submitions to this forum regarding the durability merits of POR-15 products in the engine bay. However, I am restoring a 71 911, and am equally (if not more) concerned about "gloss" correctness. Things appear to be flat black in there now, but I suspect that is the PO's handiwork.
Is POR-15 Chassis Black's "semi-gloss" sheen correct for this period car? Thanks ![]()

I love the Por products but I'm not very concerned about it being correct. so,
- Eastwood underhood satin black. - Duplicolor semi-gloss black. - Glasurit semi-gloss black.. this uses a hardner but it's the toughest

Why use black at all? It's make it dark and hard to see.

I believe all production 911s had black over body color prior to about mid-1972.

Sure - or even later -- but if you go to POR you don't have a Concours-mobile anymore anyway. So....
