bilstein insert install question??

I have purchased bilstein inserts for my boge struts from Pelican and when I pulled the old boge insert out it has a rubber buffer on the plunger rod. Do the new Bilstein inserts need this on it. I can't seem to find anything discussed on this.

Thanks

No...the old rubber bumper is not needed on the new Bilstein inserts.
