3.2 L Dyno Results *gasp*

Well, I just returned from the Dyno after some final tweaking by Steve W and have the results. 219.2rwhp with 195ft/lbs of torque. This is the configuration;

1. Cup airbox, K&N filter
2. Stock motor, Steve W chip. and Magnecore wires 80K on motor.
3. Midnight Machineworks Race Exhaust(89dB).

I will post the chart as soon as I can figure out how to convert dyno files to .jpg's, needless to say, I'm very happy!!

James

sammyg2 06-08-2004 10:23 AM

How long is it going to take before Loren to argues about this one? ;)

Kemo 06-08-2004 10:27 AM

wow...nice numbers...whats the stock RWHP for a 3.2? i would be happy to get 200 at the wheels in my SC

ZAMIRZ 06-08-2004 10:35 AM

Wow, those are unbelievable numbers. I just checked weather.com, expecting to find out it's fairly cold in your area, but it's mid-70s. Hmmm, I'll be anxiously awaiting the chart I guess :)

Well as we all know, it can't be the chip that's doing it, so it must be the K&N.

Glasgow 911SC 06-08-2004 10:58 AM

What were the 'before' numbers?

jpachard 06-08-2004 11:07 AM

The before numbers were 198rwhp. Can't remember the torque. These old numbers were with a B&B exhaust.

That's what the oh oh was for...

Good job James with getting 20HP from essentially a "stock" configuration. You obviously worked the details in your favor.

JeremyD 06-08-2004 11:28 AM

Any premuffler or is it a stock cat?

geof33 06-08-2004 11:59 AM

Well, it just a matter of time before that sooped up engine will be pinging and knocking all the way to the dead cylinder zone...:D

jpachard 06-08-2004 12:00 PM

Well, Here is the graph. Ambient temp was 84deg with 34% humidity...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1086724798.gif

Cat?? What's that? Nothing fancy, just headers and some calculated restrictors followed by Coast mufflers..

Cheers, James

89db? Thats weak-sauce! ;)

I finally got some wheel time in my car driving to work today, now that I'm back from vacation.

I can't tell if its louder without the engine pad or not... I had the windows down and had to wear my ear plugs anyway :D

JeremyD 06-08-2004 12:20 PM

Very cool - and congratulations - Nice A/F

Craig 930 RS 06-08-2004 12:23 PM

The best 3.2 I have seen on a Dynojet. Congrats.

Very nice numbers (REALLY) now let's see what beauty of a car these numbers belong too.

Pic's please!

Wayne 962 06-08-2004 12:27 PM

Hmm, 219 RWHP. Isn't that exactly what the CIS 3.4 got?
