Well its the boot for the Speedometer sending unit. It goes where the center tunnel opens to the rear of the car. Can anyone with PET find tis part number for me (just the boot)? Last edited by smestas; 06-14-2004 at 02:28 PM..

Sorry, don't know the part number as I don't have PET, but where does one get the PET? Seems like there are several around here that have it. Or is this one of those things that I'll get thrown in jail for asking?

It seems to be part of the impulse sender (911 606 209 00). The boot is not listed separately. Martin

I dont think it would hurt too much to run without it but since I have my motor out I better do it while I have the access.

As Martin mentioned, PET does not list it Specifically. There are two part numbers without corresponding pictures, one of which may be what you are after. I'd double-check with someone who can actually get that part in their hands (and describe it to you) before ordering though: "Cable Holder" - 911.612.406.01 "Cable Binder" - 999.513.002.40 Or, it may only come as part of the impulse sender assembly as mentioned above. Good luck! Last edited by Eric Coffey; 06-14-2004 at 04:40 PM..

Thanks for the part numbers guys Part# 999.513.002.40 is the plastic tie wrap that holds the cable to the tranny and Part# 911.612.406.01 is the hard wire type piece that holds the sensor in place (see image above) All these small things and other boots are available so this one piece should be as well. Im going to stay in the hunt! Any one else?

Boot only comes as part of the entire sensor assembly; been there, done that. I have a perfectly good sensor assembly with a "rotten" boot. Jim
