Only Perf Prod has 74 tanks?

First, Pelican is my vendor and I'm spending a grand a month with them, they are awesome but everyone in any business or hobby has multiple suppliers. My question is, I have seen some uncertainty on Performance Products here and I have never used them. They are currently offering a repro 74 fuel tank for 324.00 and that is 1/3 of the cost of anyone else. Should I be concerned. Just looking for some honest answers. Thanks.

Ed,

I tried to PM you, but you must not have gotten it. I have a gas tank off of my 1975 in good condition. Let me know if you are interested. I am also in the MD area.

Salazar,
First, was your car at Hershey, there can't be many of those in this area. Second, I really looked at my tank last night and am going to try to clean it up with the POR kit. I was told on the board that I could not use it because I have plastic baffles but after inspecting the inside and talking to POR I think I can make it work. I am going to blast/brush it this weekend, if it looks bad at the seams I will contact you next week. Thanks for the info and real nice car.
