How do you replace the rocker support?

Hey guys,
I'm going to replace my floorboards/rocker support. The floorboards look easy, just cut them out with a grider and welt the new stuff in. But how do I do the rocker support? This is a piece that is behind the rear fender (the rear quarter panel). How do I go about replacing this piece? Do I cut the rear fender off to access it? Seems like alot of work, but the fender is dent so I might just do that. Does anyone have any links to sites that explain floor pan and rocker panel repair in detail? How about books, or better yet a VHS? I'd like to look at as many resources possible before I go about doing these repairs. I've been to my library but these are general books like Haynes, etc. I was wondering if there was a good Porsche body work book?

I've seen a few posts on this and it seems a common rot area on the 911. From the information I've seen, it can be done without removing the rear quarterpanel, however the lower portion of the 'B' post door jamb will need to be cut away to gain access (this is usually rotten aswell anyway). I'm not sure how easy it is to get in there to cut out the support, and then weld in a new one. If you do a search on 'Rob Justice', I'm sure he detailed on how he replaced his, but I think Rob detached the bottom of the quarterpanel aswell to get more access.

I'm sure somebody out there will have done it by keyhole surgery.
