Steering Wheel Choices

I'm in need of upgrading my steering wheel and looking for some advise. Considering the Prototipo and 903S, but a little more then I'd like to spend. Can anyone recommend a nice Momo or something? It is for a litlle DE and stret car.

Thanks, John

P.S. If anyone has something to sell send me a PM

Both my 911 and NARP 944 have a Momo Course. After you have driven with a smaller diameter wheel you will wonder how anybody can stand the school bus sized wheel the cars came with.

I just installed a 350 mm momo.

What a difference!

You can get "deals" in the want ads here or try e-bay.

I've got one of these and a short "anatomic" knob that I plan to sell soon, asking $150, no adapter though. In good shape, can get a picture of the actual if you're interested.

This is one of the most comfortable wheels I have ever used. Perfect for me in a 911 w/o a spacer. Momo (?) model.

Go to eBay and you'll find quite a few used and new Momos. I think any Momo will fit a Porsche if an adapter is used. I bought a used Momo Corse for about $100 less than new. The Tuner, Competition and Race are nice too.

Zeke,

That looks like the Corse I just got. I agree 100%

I have the momo corse in suede leather like it came / comes in factory race cars. (That's what momo claims anyway). It has the yellow strip on top of it which helps the challenged (like myself) quite a bit on the big track. The suede isn't great with naked hands but boy does it provide extra grip when wearing driving gloves.

To summarize. If you are going to emphasize on the track driving, this wheel is a good bang for the buck. I got it complete, new, with the hub and horn button for $170 shipped through Ebay.

I fogot to mention. The hub adapter brings the wheel closer to you. No more hitting the dash with your fingernails. It feels much better to have the wheel closer to you. At least I felt so. The position, shape and feel of the stock wheel is rather hideous. I Ruediger or something.

I also got the Momo Mod 7, fantastic wheel, much better driving position. I got the leather version rather than suede so it would last longer, I don't use gloves for street driving and I've read that the oil from your hands wrecks the suede.

Regards,
Andrew.
