Rotor buttons for SC distributors - how do you raise rev limits?
Hi all
My 2.7 presently has a single plug dist'r with a 7300 rpm rev limit rotor button. I am replacing the dist'r with a 964 based twin plug set up with SC internals. The standard SC rotor button has a 7000 rpm rev limit right? QN: Can you get SC rotor buttons with higher 7000 rpm rev limits? or do you have to move to a stand alone rev limiter?

I thought all SC were rev limited by the CD box rather then the rotor??

I believe that ROW cars were controlled by the rotor.

ROW cars used a rev limiting rotor, NOT the same as the 2.7 rotor. The Row rev limiting rotor for SCs has a 6800 limit, and that is the only one I am aware of. It is also bigger and spins the opposite direction than the 2.7 rotor. Pelican unfortunately does not sell them (unless they have recently added them). I got mine from Vertex for ~$22. If you want to go higher than 6800, I think you will have to go with a stand alone limiter.
