can`t seem to find caliper rebuild kits for 951 calipers

l`m converting my brakes to the infamous 951 calipers and l`m all there except for the rebuild kits.l`ve posted before and got some great responses but l can`t seem to find the kits l need, even from our host. Maybe it`s me and l can`t navigate the online catalog properly but l have 951 calipers with 38/40 front and 30/32 rear pistons. l tried the other major catalogs,we all know them, and no luck either. l know there were different kits.Mid america had the fronts but they didn`t seem to know which ones l needed, the rears were out of stock and would take three weeks. Any help appreciated or l can just go to the dealer but then l`m pretty much sure to get the wrong parts. Here l have a chance at least.

You might try Paragon Products. Jason helped me find some rebuild kits a few years ago when no one else seemed to have them. He went way beyond the call of duty to help find me some $12 parts. Great guy.

You might have better luck if you look for the correct kits
-86 fronts are 36/38
87- fronts are 36/40

S fronts are 36/44

all rears are 28/30

Hmmm, well l measured the pistons with calipers and that`s what l came up with.l measured twice actually and that`s the diameter of those pistons. What do you suppose l have here then? Or am l taking the measurements at the wrong spot? l was under the impression that it was the piston that indicated the size...

Either you measured wrong or in the wrong spot.

I would just go to the dealer for the rebuild parts, there are some that give deep discounts for mailorder business. I was suprised to see that Wayne doesn't carry the rebuild kits for the turbos.

Bill, are you aware of a source for 86 930 front caliper rebuild kits? I haven't seen them anywhere. If dealer only, might you have the part #? Thanks

On the highway, my car gets an audible hum and sensation in the steering wheel that goes away when I tap the brakes. New wheel bearings all around... I'm thinking ocaasional sticky piston.

Brake Caliper Rebuild Kit, Front (for 1 caliper), 911 Turbo (1978-89)
PEL-930BK-FKT

Each kit contains the necessary seals and scraper rings. The dealer does not sell these as a kit, so we assembled our own.

While we are on the subject of caliper rebuild kits, I am still trying to source the brake pad tension springs for early alloy "S" calipers.
This is the part that applies downward pressure on the pad and fits under the actual pins that hold the pads in place.
It looks like a cross (sort of).
I ordered some from our host, based on a part number given me by another Pelican member, and as nice as they are, the one's I received are too small. They are perfect for the rear calipers.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi Poorsha,

I didn't realize these weren't in our catalog. I believe you might have ordered 91135195102 instead of 91135195103. Anyway, if you could email me your name, I can double-check for you. You can then purchase them using the part number C-351-951-03. Thanks!
