This might be the extra solvent for your windshield. MY 89 25th had this too , i think it was in the same position.

Might be a kill switch or alarm added by the PO?

Mute button for the "back-seat driver" on the passenger side?

Does it disable the ignition or cause the car to shut down?

Unknown switch

I have one exactly like that. And I added it: it's a front oil cooler fan switch.

Mine too. To test if that's it, switch ignition to "on" but don't start engine. Turn toggle switch on and if its an oil cooler fan, you'll hear it start.

You may want to see if it kills the speedometer.

Looks more like a heater control switch for a cup-holder...

Well, I really don't think it will ignite anything, so go ahead and switch it ON (or OFF), then tell us what happens.

Don't you have to give US some clues?

Sherwood
PS: A search in the archives might give you some clues.

Cool

Problem solved !! Thanks Sherwood, I did just what you said and it IS the front oil cooler. I could hear the fan before I turned it over and it would stop when I flipped the switch. Thanks to all for the comments. Jer

JerDe,
Not at all. In compensation, you can give me a ride in your 930. I can man the switch.

Sherwood
