I want to permanently remove the airbox in my 70 T

But there is a very thin hose that comes from the left side of the engine up to the airbox and connects to a metal tube inside the airbox
what do I do?

Where does the small hose originate? Carb?
I have one of these airboxes, but never saw where the small hose connected. If it isn't vacuum related, you can probably just plug it.

i would assume that it actually is the vacuum hose
it probably hooks up to your distributor as well
