Just bought some Fuchs... Need to refinish

Can I beadblast then polish? I want to just have the metal, no paint.

It would cost you about $50 each way to ship them to Al Reed. Do youself (and your fingers) a favor...

There is a thread on here with some pictures of beadblasted Fuchs that you can probably find. I'm going to try it on my next tire dismount. Glass bead is supposed to be good for removing the paint and anodizing.

Use drain cleaner with lye in it to strip the anodising. Then polish out with a tripoli compound using the proper buffs on your drill. Sand the centers with 400 and paint. Presto, you are done. I can get get four done in a day. The stripping only takes about 20 mins per wheel.

Cheers, Jeff
