Porsche Crest

How about a couple of 6" nails ... right through the middle with a big framing hammer to the dash???

I think your missing the point............The reason I'm opting for the pod is to NOT destroy the look of the interior with a cheesy stereo.........I am looking for a mounting system that is removable......Why so hostile??

Why don't you use the FM iPod attachment? I saw/heard one used in a car I was travelling in recently. All we did was set the radio to FM 87.9 and the iPod did the rest. I think the little FM attachment was around $30 and needed no wires. It was impressive.

Hmmm.... interesting, there was no static with us and we were in a taxi. Also, we did not plug it into a lighter, the guy with the iPod was in the back seat.

There should be no interferrence with a short range FM broadcast like this. Are you sure that your radio is sorted out OK?

now if i can jimmy an IPod connector in the glovebox...... and a vintage franfurt/blaupunkt front face where the buttons on it change volume and skip trax on the ipod in glovebox.....that would be slick......

I've been following your 2 threads closely. I have a similar situation. My car is a 70'S Coupe. In the dash I have the radio delete plate.
I have been searching for a tuner and a multidisc CD changer to mounted in the trunk. I want a CORDED remote that controls both the tuner and the CD changer.
The new tuners today are infrared wireless. The beam will not penetrate through the body. Therefore, I need a CORDED controller. Any suggestions?? Also, a under dash mounted tuner just does not look right.
I do like the idea of a glovebox mounted IPOD, connected to an amp, which is connected to the speakers.

TIA
