Um......I hope I get lucky at work againt his year, if I do, an "S" model will be on my christmas list

JeremyD 07-27-2004 12:43 PM

I like the wide body with a duck myself - Jack do you have one of those pictures handy?

Nine9six 07-27-2004 12:50 PM

Damn! I cant believe I passed up the chance at a GT white deck lid (same color as my car) on ebay. In pristine condition, it sold for $228!
Somebody please slap me...

I haven't had my car much more than a month, and I've already done lots of little things to it (tinted the windows-not so much for looks as to protect the interior, 7's & 8s', stereo, etc.). I actually want to get a tail for mine (and chin spoiler), but I do like the 964 tail idea (a-la Jack O.)
I know David - I got issues! I just want my car to have a more modern look to it. I know it's an "icon" body style with the turbo body and all, but "I" want a more modern look, C2 bumpers or a retractable spoiler. As long as I don't CHOP anything that cant be returned to original look, I will be fine

This would modern up your cars look...

Sorry but it has a tail.

Find a picture of the 89 Speedster. It had the Turbo bodywork. It's of course a cabrio, but it's a tail-less widebody nonetheless.
found this speedster

I hear ya! I like Jack's idea of multiple decklids with different tails. Change to suit whatever situation or mood you're in. That's the cool thing about these cars. Just a few "bolt ons" and you can update, backdate, or whatever to your hearts content! I've always liked the Turbo "tea-tray" spoiler myself. I know, many think it's too big and obnoxious on a non-turbo flared car, but I like it. I've seen many narrow bodied cars with one and they all look good to me. Either way, your car's going to look good no matter what you do!

bigrubberjeep 07-27-2004 03:19 PM

Thank's for the kind words David.

JeremyD 07-27-2004 04:42 PM

I hear Jack is going to do a calendar - the many faces of Black Beauty II - BBII at the track - out on a date - duck tail, racing rubber - I am sure he could fill up 12 months!

Jack,
Bad-you-no-what car! I am thinking about going retro with my wifes 90 c2 and wonder about those tail lights. Those are awesome! I googled 72 rsr and cant find another car with those tail lights...what are they from, etc...

thanks
ian

TRE has the taillights...they are a fiberglass repro that is VERY clean.

}{arlequin 07-27-2004 07:31 PM

Search "R lights" should bring up a bit of info...

George,

Put down the keyboard, and step away from the computer.

Take one look at your car, and say to yourself. I like my car the way it is. Everyone says it is incrediable, save your money for a car that you can play with, and not damage, there are so few TLC around.
