DME reprogramming

Someone told me you could have the 3.2 DME reprogrammed to run the ignition only. Does anyone have experience with this set up and knows someone who can do it? I'm looking for a way to keep the stock ignition with 46mm webers if possible.

Just leave the o2 sensor attached, the rpm and ignition sensors on the flywheel and leave the fuel injestion leads disconnected.

The next owner will apppreciate this when its time o restore to stock
