Where can I get this?
Last night when my neighbor was trying to figure out my start problem, a small washer type thing flew out of my distributor to places unknown. It wasn't really a washer but more like a "C" used to hold something in place and pops off with a screw driver. It was visible when the cap was removed from the distributor. It was from a 77 3.0 distributor. Any ideas what it is called and where I can get one?
Thanks, David |

It's probably inside the distributor, not good. Remove the distributor shake it around and see if you hear anything rattling around, flip it over and try to get it to fall out. I think a better explanation or pic might help, was it on the shaft or the plate?

If you know the size of the shaft you are trying to retain you should be able to find a "C"clip at a local auto parts supplier. They are common hardware available in many sizes

Thanks guys. Seems silly to order basically a washer from California when I am in Ma. I know it is not in the distributor. I saw it launch off.
Thanks again, David |
