Questions on SC brakes

This weekend I installed new brake pads on my 82SC Coupe.

Question?? The retaining pins on the rear breaks have small holes for insert clips to keep the pins from coming out. The front pins are a bit smaller and do not have these holes. It seems to me that the front pins should have these holes and retaining clipes as well, given that most of the breaking is with the front brakes. Did someone simply install the wrong pins in the front?

Also, when attempting to bleed the REAR breakes, I couldn't get a wrench to fit the bleed valve well. The front was no problem...9mm.

What size is the bleed valve for the rear brakes?

Rear is 7mm, Bentley 470-5. I am not sure if Porsche used only ATE brakes or if they sometimes used GIRLING. Anyone? If your front didn't have clips, o.k. Make sure that the new pads move freely in the groves with a thin coat of anti-seize paste to sliding edges. Bentley page 460-6.
