rebuilt trans & engines

Question for moderator - why is a question about vertex rebuilt trans/engines off limits, since Pelican does not sell those items? Those who may need a rebuilt trans, and can't get one from Pelican, would want to know about other sources. If Pelican does now sell rebuilt trans & engines, then nevermind

Probably because they also sell PARTS for transmissions. No need to be advertising for the competition.

I was wondering this too. Personally, I think the original poster was within his bounds - he asked about a service that Pelican doesn't provide, and didn't mention parts or retail prices or anything. There are thread on this board about MotorMeister all the time - and they sell engine rebuild kits that Pelican also sells - and these don't get closed.

Probably because they get ripped on all of the time, it makes people want to go in the opposite direction based on their past reputation. That can only help Pelican.

Its a really important service that this board provides; helping people find answers to questions like "who does a particular service". A proper rebuild is the difference between having a good Porsche experience and a bad one. On that note, based on personal experience, steer clear of Motor Meister!
