67S Front Toe In Spec?
Can anyone give me the proper front toe-in spec for a 67S. I have two books with two different values. One book says 0, the other book says 1/16"-1/8" toe-in.
Thanks for your help,

Both are correct. You may prefer some toe or none, it's a matter of preference.

Bob,
An issue with a ’67 (and any 911) is the condition of the tie rod ends, steering rack, ball joints, shocks, and suspension bushings. The front wheel bearings should be set just shy of tight for measurement only. Be sure to check run-out on the wheels and set the tire pressure. Many good alignment techs set the toe to zero with the tires pressed out with around 20#. After properly resetting the wheel bearings and a test drive the toe should come back as about 1/8 to 1/16. If otherwise, some investigation of components is in order. Toe should always be checked after a roll forward on flat, level, consistent, and even pavement. I personally prefer zero unless the car “hunts” too much on good straight, flat pavement. Remember, wider tires tend to hunt more and track the groves that overweight tractor-trailers cause. A good test is to swap on a set of 165-78x15 tires and 4 ˝” wheels, set to 40 psi and see how it tracks. You can separate an alignment problem from a tire problem this way. Best, Grady

If you look closely, the slight toe-in is from a "later" Porsche publication...and it will probably say..."use these values to supercede previous listings".....
