A few guys run them up here and love them. Need to get some heat in em though. We had a tech nite wiht Yokohama and they talked about this tire a lot. Will be out soon in a wde range of sizes. Seems like a good bet. Also I belive it is the A048 not A04B. That mght help your search.

Jeff

Ah it does. A Canadian site lists them with a 'B' instead of an '8'.

Found this:
http://www.yokohamatire.com/pdf/AO48.pdf

Do they replace the A032R - & are they a better track tire?
Or a step closer to a street tire?

They relace the A032r (both hard and soft) with a single compound tire. They are supposed to have more grip in the dry and slightly less in the wet. There is a guy up here runs them on a bone stock 3.4 996 and he got by a better driver in a new GT3 on about the 7th lap once they had some heat in them. The gt3 was on Pilot Sport II factory offered street tires but that is a far superior car!! Also the GT3 driver is a better and faster driver than the guy in the 996 given an equal playing field.

At the tech nite it was hard to get all the facts as the presenter was Japanese and his english, altough better than my Japanese, was not all that great!

Hope this helps, Jeff

This from Luke:

"Not really a new tire but, it is new to the states .... primarily avaialble in Porsche sizes and is better in the dry than the A032"

Oh....Todd the contrarian?

He does know at least 2 things:

He is a hell of a driver
Has used and really, really likes the Toyo RA/1

I must agree on both counts!
