How do I test the Boost relay?

Is there anyway I can short this relay out to see if its causing an ignition problem I'm having? Alternatively how do I test that it is functioning correctly a resistance test?

the boost relay cuts off the fuel pumps. nothing to do with ignition. the delayed ignition cutoff relay is often a problem though. it's the thing that keeps the engine running for a few seconds after the key is turned off. it relays 12V to the CD unit. jump the two wires on it's plug (out of four) that are the closest to the engine to bypass it. the yellow overboost relay often suffers from cracked solder joints on the main pins. pop the guts out and check the inner ends of the pins with a magnifying glass.
