That should be just air, at that point in the system. Does it have fittings on either end? If not, it seems like a $10 piece of hose from your FLAPS would do the job.

Jerry I feel your pain. Dan the hose is one piece that is probably impossible to duplicate and I bet Jerry's, like mine, cracked at the hard to replicate part. It is just air that runs thru the line. I epoxied mine at the cracks the used shrink wrap over it, then electric tape to insure a good seal.

So how does this manifest itself? i.e. what symptoms made you go looking at this part?

Is this a vacuum line?

I'm going to check mine when I get home now that you've made me paranoid

what a POS that rubber crimp is at the end. Did they know you'd put your arm back there multiple times to take your air box out, bending it at that cricial point where it's gonna break. And eventually split that rubber end? It was broke before I got the car. But my band-aid fix did solve a little of the cold idle jump up to 1200 rpm.
I'm the guy that gets up every morning wondering what to take apart and fix, replace, clean. I had no business taking the airbox, flow sensor, boot and vac lines, and ICV off other than to clean 'em.
Still, I'm privileged to own this car. You'd have to steal the keys from my cold dead hands. Before it left my sight.
I think i need another beer
