Dad doesnt let me drive it as much as I would like to.

Other than that, it's not as light as it should be, as loud as it should be, or on the track as much as it should be.

Who's the idiot who thought the design of the HVAC...AKA..the "oil fume distribution system" was ergonomic?

Actually, the whole OFDS is kinda sketchy.

Also, the 915 and shift action isn't a marvel of German precision, even at it's best. Actually it isn't even a model of Japanese precision! Americans may have done better.....sometime.

And I'm sorry, but I have to bring attention to my 73s rear sway bar mount and link set up. What junk! You know they can do better, just look at the front! The "link"..nothin more than a twisted piece of flat stock would be an embarassment to Trabant!

Of course, none of these things really affects the character of the car......so we just improve here and there.

The "loves" outweigh the "hates" thats for sure.

Trying to climb out of it...without wearing out the bolster.
Trying to get some airflow inside with the roof still on.
Slowpokes in my way.

That the quest for perfection is a never ending (and expensive) one. Cost of ownership basically.

Ditto - Michigan winters suck! And the fact that I always want more power no matter what 911 I'm driving.

People who like this thread may also enjoy the Design Defects thread from a few months ago.

The trans synchro system was a big innovation in its day and they even licensed it to many other car companies... but they refused to switch when improved methods were invented.

Same with rust... PAG was first to really rust proof a car. And first to give a body warranty.

The 1'st to second gear shift on the 915.

It's a ***** to get under effectively in my garage, althought that may be more of a garage issue than car.
