You wouldn't be a disgruntled Yankee fan, would you? So am I, but Boston is due. Enjoy the T!

Yes, the 2.4T motors have great torque. Fantastic street engine. Welcome to the darkside of the longhoods and MFI.

I feel the same way about mine. Everytime I run through the gears, I ask myself 'Why am I spending so much money building up a 3.2 short stroke?'. I know the 3.2 will be a hoot, but the little low compression 2.4 is a hoot already. These cars are too much fun

I'll second all of the above. I've been driving my '72T for about nine months (I've rolled up almost 12,000 miles in that time) and have never had so much fun in a car in my life. I attended a track day at Pacific Raceways yesterday and my instructor also had a '72, but his had an RS spec 2.7. It had gobs of top end over mine, but in normal street driving rpm ranges, it didn't seem all that different. Some day, when I wear out the 2.4, it would be fun to build up an RS 2.7. For now, though, that little 2.4 is a real hoot. Plus, it's an absolutely reliable daily driver. what fun.

For street / highway use, my 73E/MFI is perfect for putting a huge grin on my face. The engine sounds amazing during acceleration. On on the track, I'm lusting for more power. So, the 2.4E is going to evolve into a 2.7RS/MFI this winter.
