How do I make a starter kill?
This is what I read : ![]() and this is what the installer tells: 86 to alarm output 87A to ingnition 30 to starter motor 85 to ground How do I find out if a relay isn't broke? Please help. Thanks, Kees. |

It depends if your alarm has pos. or neg starter kill output. The one in the picture is for neg. out. The other way would be pos. out. To test relay hook up pos. to 86 and 30, touch ground to 85 and you will hear it click. With no ground 87a will show 12 volts, with ground 87 will show 12 volts.
To test what you have just arm the alarm (might need to be set off) and with a meter check to see if it is putting out ground or 12 volts on the starter kill output.
