Custom muffler recos needed...

I have a stage 1 Protosport turbo with B&B muffler ,this muffler is a total piece of garbage ,the mount bracket has snapped off ,the welds are disgusting and it has cracks......because of the turbo kit my choices are limited ,my thought is to cut the inlet with the turbo flange and tailpipe off and use them on a Flowmaster etc. muffler and fabricate a mounting setup.....any other reccomendations??
sam.

p.s. it only has 7k miles on it!!

Not beautiful, but Flowmaster is offering a SS version now just in case you didn't know.

I think with a turbo, I would stay away from anything with FG filler that'll burn out. If you want to go domestic aftermarket, which would be much cheaper obviously, try to stay with a SS filled or baffled mufflers. Borla might be a choice that is a little louder but maybe less drone. Borlas are a nice looking muffler if that is important to you.

I was at a muffler shop today looking at 930 options.

Megaflow is high on the list. The owner/master pipe bender had many pros and cons to share concerning the various brands and designs. This muffler looks to fit the bill for my application.

See this thread, seems like B&B has problems. I am happy with my Dansk 1-2 sport.

B&B Muffler Rant ...
