I'm in Tulsa and the local ch. of PCA is very active. In fact they are having a large DE this weekend at Hallett (Octoberfast) Many guys from Texas and NW Ar. will be there. They also have a Fall trip planned on that Highway of the Gods road or whatever it is in SE OK/SW AR. I have seen it but I hear it is gorgeous. If you ever find yourself in Tulsa come by Wild Fork in Utica Square Saturday at 8 a.m. since 8-10 PCAers meet there every Sat for breakfast and P talk. In the event you are married you wife would probably lOVE Utica SQ.
Later,

I'm in OKC and our local chapter of the PCA will be driving to Eureka Springs in late October. We're staying at the Bavarian Inn Saturday night then driving back to OKC on Sunday. Let me know if you want more information.

I'm in OKC and for some reason can't access the War Bonnet PCA home page. I would love to hear comments on their level of participation, technical knowledge etc. I'm especially looking to join a club that is heavy on the tech/DE and light on the wine and cheese tasting events. Thanks!

Dustin,
You should be able to log on using www.pca.org/wb that should take you right to the home page. The core group of people are big on tech/DE and light on wine and cheese. This Saturday is our October breakfast at 9:00 am at Ingrid's Kitchen (celebrating Oktoberfest) in OKC. Send me a pm if you would like more information. New people are always welcome whether they are a member or not.

I don't live there, but I visit often. As a matter of fact there is a fantastic fall "drive" through the Ozarks, put on by some BMW 2002 guys. Normally I would have my BMW for this, but this year I'm bringing the 911. I can't overstate what a great drive it is. Very twisty-very fast. It starts and ends in Rogers. One of the highlights is the Pig Trail-one of Road &Track's top ten drives. We also go through Eureka Springs. We cover about 200 miles, but it goes by in a hurry. I'm sure the people putting it on wouldn't mind having another P-car in their midst. It's the last Saturday in October. E-mail me if you're interested in joining us-I'll give you more details.

Ryan,
I've got an interior; I just haven't had time to get it back into the car. I really get some looks when I get out of the car in a suit/tie and the interior is bare. Most guys just nod and ask if I track the car. Ryan give me a pm if you're interested in following along. The group is staying at the Bavarian Inn at Eureka that Saturday night. The hotel is probably full but there are plenty of places close by. Sebring77, is that the Cimarron PCA region sponsored event? I talked to a guy at the breakfast this morning and he is planning to do that drive and our drive to Eureka as well.

Grady,
No-not a PCA vent at all. Actually, this will be the first year a Porsche (mine) joins in. It's just an informal, but annual get together. It started out as just a few guys in their 2002s. That is still what the group mainly consists of, however the number of participants this year is expected to be about 20. What those little 2002s lose in HP is made up by handling and enthusiasm. Those guys rip through there! It can be hair raising at times. Hanging back is always an option for those who wish to stay within legal and safe speeds. We try to regroup often. So far, no lost participants, accidents, or tickets. This years drive occurs on the last Saturday of October. I'll forward the e-mail about the event to you. It would be fun if the BMWs and the 911s could meet in Eureka and then go out and play ![]() |

I live in Tulsa, but I will probably not be able to make the Ozarks trip (I'm in the middle of a complete interior replacement / restoration). I've driven that area (Hwy 23 et al.) a few times in the past, and it really is the best.

I throughly recommend the Bavarian Inn in Eureka Springs. I was there last year some time. Eureka Springs is about 1.5 hrs from here.
Eureka Springs is a really good place to spend a weekend. David Duffield |

Guys,
Is there some way I can participate? I will be in Kansas City area (Pleasant Hill, MO) Thursday evening, October 14, 2004. I’m free most of Friday the 15th. I want to be at William Woods University in Fulton, MO before 7 PM Friday. What do you think? Best, Grady (Clay) FWIW, plain fan and I have been trying to find common Georgia ancestors. G

Grady, OK is a long ways away from KC or Fulton. You and I will just have to come up with our own entertainment on Oct. 15.

We don't actually stop for long in Eureka due to the tourist traffic, but we do a few photo ops at the usual places. This year breakfast is at War Eagle, and I think lunch/dinner is in Fayetteville. Consider joining us-it's close and fun! |

Finally got my car on the road again. Are there any driving events coming up in the near future for this area or is it getting to
cold?
