Brembo GTP lightweight question.

From the Rennsport website;

"Fits under most 16" Wheels. 911's need 944 Turbo-offset Fuchs on the front end for caliper clearance"

How do I know if I have 944 turbo-offset fronts?

If I have to switch out my Al Reed polished front wheels, I'm probably better off buying a set of 17" welded Fuchs and going with standard big reds, right?

On the backside of your Fuchs there is a stamp the first three #'s 911 (speaks for itself) or 951 (944). The 17's look awesome. If your updating and have 16x8's or 9's I'm buying if your selling.

Since the 7" 911 and 944 Fuchs have the same o/s, the assumption is that the 8" wheels are the subject of that statement. Assuming that to be true, the 944 8" Fuchs have recessed lug nuts like the 930 9" Fuchs.

Of coourse you could always take themm off the car and look for part #s as well

Hmmm, I always thought the 951 7's did have more caliper room, despite having the same OS. Anyone care to confirm/deny?

The 7's do offer more caliper room than the 911 7's. A 951 7 looks like a cross between a 911 6 & 7, a very unique look. 951 7's are becoming harder to find lately.

There are two types of 7x16 911 Fuchs too. Older and later. The later have more brake caliper room. The part number of the early model is 911.361.020.44 and the part number of the late model is 911.362.115.00.

I am NOT sure if the late ones have enough brake caliper room for your solution. You have to check it yourself. But, the late model 911 7x16 Fuchs *may* be one option.

If you haven't gotten the brake kit yet, you may want to consider the 930 kit from VCI or Rennsport. They will clear a 15" wheel w/minimum 1/4" spacer.
