RHD A/C Options
I am having my 930 converted to RHD to use on the roads here in Australia.
It seems that the smugglers box in the RHD vesion is much smaller than the smugglers box in the LHD variant, and the AC evaporator should go in the bottom of the LH footwell . This reduces the passenger legroom by 4". Not a very attractive solution and frankly I am suprised the vehicles were sold this way. Are there any aftermarket solutions that do not take up footwell legroom or am I just better off ditching the AC altogether?

John its been a long story...... apparently 8 months were not long enough to do the job. It was a lot of stress on my behalf to try and get the job finished.
In the meantime I moved to NSW and bought another business. Vehicle arrives here next week minus A/C

Check with Vintage Air. They sell all kinds of evaporator units that could be mounted in the trunk rather than the smuggler's box.

It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. |
