Aftermarket Seat Belts

Hi Phil,

Nice car!

Not much help on the seatbelts front, I did a general Google search and came up with loads of Forums to look at but nothing specific. The "Muffin Man" had problems with his seat belt (see http://www.carsforums.com/showthread.php?t=6209 ) and there are a couple of links to try. Otherwise try Merlin Motorsport Shop www.merlinmotorsports.co.uk at Castle Combe or similar at other race circuits.

Grant

Phil,
Prettiest 912 I have seen in some time. Congratulations! Sorry this link is in USA, but I have used them several times and had excellent results, including retracting front belts for early cars and 3 point belts for rear seats,, http://www.peparts.com/

Good Luck to you;

Nice car Phil. I've been over to the UK a couple of times and (except for the cost of petrol) wished I had brought my old E. I had a similar problem with belts. Worse actually, as the previous owner had swapped out the origional seats for Recaros and neglected to install the latches. I got a set of retractable belts from a VW. The hardware bolted right in. Its not 'correct' but they are German. Enjoy those roads.

Its a beautiful thing, I have a 69 912 Targa, I see you have other nice pics posted on the 912 board that you all should check out. Post others if you can? The only thing your missing is my 1918 British SE5a replica parked in the background field.

Wow!! Those pics took my breath away, especially the last one with the castle in the background. I even showed them to my wife who also oohed and aahed. Those pics make me want to go back there again.

Your car is the cleanest 912 I have ever seen!

I replaced my seat belts on my 1971 911, to a VDO NOS seat belts that retracts like a more modern seat belt.

Instead of drilling into the body my brother welded / fabricated a extension to the seat bracket where we bolted the retraction mechanism.
