Help.... how do I get the seat out?

I am trying to get the roll cage out of my '87 Carrera. I thought I was going to be able to unbolt the seat, slide it forward and get it out, but the seat is going to have to be out of the car.

I got the front and rear seat bolts out of the passenger seat with no problem, but I cannot figure out how to disconnect the electrical connection. I thought it would be a simple plug, but it appears the wire is going into some sort of a little black plastic box. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated since I have this thing all apart now

Thanks,
rickdm

Assuming you have the partial power seats like mine (2 switches for seat height), after the bolts are out, just tip the entire seat back and you'll see the seat-switch wires go into a black box..which is the plug/connector. I just pulled that plug apart. It's a 4 prong plug and should uncouple easily. If that connector isn't there, maybe someone modified your seat wiring?

Thanks Steve. When I flipped the seat over I could see the connector plug and it came right out.

Thanks,
