76 Front Trunk color?

What is the correct color combo in the front trunk on a 76 911. Going back to the stock Silver and not sure of the tank color. Black or Silver? I know the fenders are the color of the car. I think the floor is the color of the car. Thoughts? Car is a puke red now.

My '76 (still stock in this respect!!) has the standard gray finish on the tank. The entire rest of the front trunk is body color (Continental Orange in my case) with some black blotches where the VIN plates/strut mounts are.

Hope this helps...

Mike

Exactly what I was looking for! Thanx.

The car is going back to the original Metallic Silver and I have to fix what the PO did. He did a poor job of spraying an off color Red (not Guards Red) in there. Was thinking about pulling the tank to do it correctly.

Thanx again, Jim

Stay the course straightening out your trunk area, Jim...you'll like the results. Here's a pic of mine so you can see the color on a clean tank.
