"Who owns this car" and a Photoshop Request

I'd like to know who ownes this car? I think it looks great and I'm looking to modify my car to look similar (I wouldn't mind seeing more photos of this car too).

I already have the ducktail and am in the process of ordering the decals. Could someone please do two alterations of this image to show the carrera script and Fuchs, first in black and then in the RS blue (also returning the door mirror to white)?

I am also thinking of getting a "Carrera3.0" decal made for the ducktail in the same style as the "CarreraRS" motif, what do people think about this, is it too 'try-hard'?

Also, my car has 'shark fins' and I'm a little nervous that removing them may damage the paint. I have seen in other posts that a heat gun should be used to gently warm the 'shark fin' to melt the glue and then they just peel off. Has anyone then found paint damage from the glue?

This one really has me scratching my head, rear pop out windows on a Carrera body? I have seen the duck and even those mirrors on a carrera but never the popout windows

Wow, was begining to think no one loved me (took over 130 views to get some responses)!

The push out rear windows were on all 911 up to about '76/77 as far as I know. My Carrera 3.0 (11/76) has them too, they come in real handy for getting heat out of the cabin in summer.

Any thoughts on that rear decal?

I like the rear decal idea but make sure the script is right like the original badge. Check if the carrera script (in Carrera 3.0) is different from that on the 2.7RS, it is definitely different from that on the later Carrera 3.2 cars. The 3.0 script is definitely unique.

Hi Sheldon
I don't know if this helps but here are pickkies of my 1974 2.7 Carrera ducktail and side stripes

My car has shark fins too! I wouln't like to remove them as it would damage the paint and bodywork quite a lot!

Good luck

Andrew

Hmm, what are you guys referring to as the shark fins? I initially thought you guys were talking about stone guards, but this silver car doesn't have them?

Yup! I'm taking about the black stone guards that protect the rear wheel arches from stone chips.

Nice car though Baurice!

Thanks.

There are two (2) on EBAY right now, one a 1974 andthe other a 1973 with same color configuration. If you got to 1973's you will see both.

Oh wow, great work Eric! Thanks very much.

Now I just have to make a decision as to which looks best.

The red looks best, followed by the black, followed by the blue, IMHO...
The car would look best though, with the bumper trim red as well, but the side mirror white...
