rust..repair or run? PPI in PA?
There's a '69E coupe with these rust issues
Would you repair the rust or run? Let's assume the the rest of the car, (motor, interior, brakes, suspension, etc), is fine. The seller is asking $8,000.00.

As the proud owner of a '69 911E who thinks that early 911 is the best value of any 2.0 liter Porsche -- I'd run fast and far. Rust at the jack point is BAD NEWS.

See Zeke's thread about repairing rust in that area. Not for the timid. Replacing inner rockers and jack points/supports requires major surgery. Remember it will need a paint job after its fixed.
I would not pay $8k for that car. If you could get it for about $4k it would be worth another inspection, assuming it didn't have other problems. If you don't have several thousand to get the rust fixed and/or two years to DIY... RUN!

Car has repairs already!
Looks like some one got into this car and found out it wouldn't be as easy as it looked. That car is good maybe for parts or someone who has alot of skill. Do you have any experiance at rebuilding or restoring cars. I'm located in Chalfont Pa so if you want me too look at the car and it is in this area give me a call. 215 822 5292. Any way good luck if you buy it.

$8k is WAY to much for that car. I agree w/ Jamie.

Work in Progress

There is an long hood that has been sitting inside a VW shop around the corner from me. I have no idea how much it is going for or even if the guy would sell it. I have never seen it close up to tell you about body condition, but if you wanted me to go take a look for you I would gladly do it. This car is also in PA I think the zip code would be 18932.
