Input shaft seal
Because i think i installed this incorrectly the first time, and because the bentley manual doesn't have a detailed picture of how exactly this seal is to be installed. What's the correct way?

Ok, i just noticed that there's about a 15mm section of that fitting pictured above that goes to smaller diameter. I assume that the seal goes right on that for a very tight fit. So i curl-ted it and put it in that section with the flat side of the seal facing the engine, is that correct orientation?

It sounds like you've gotten it right. IIRC, the side that opens into the spring is the side towards the inside of the transmission. The flat side with the part number on it goes towards the engine side.

Thank you very much, now to fix my driver side drive flange (previous owners can really suck sometimes).
