Help with installing rear tin - heater backdate
Can't seem to get the rear tin piece back in for my heater backdate. I pulled the piece out in order to have the heater hose hole plugged (welded in a piece of sheet metal) and I can't get it back in!
I don't remember if the part sits on top of the weatherstrip or below it when installing from underneath the car. Is there a trick to put the piece back in? Such as, start with the passenger side first, etc? I have tried everything, help!!!

they catch on everything. first be sure it goes over the sheetmetal tabs on each side of the center motor mount. once it's over those, it should butt up to the angled end sections, then work the ends under those. you can stick something thru one of the bolt holes to keep it in place while you work on the other side. it goes under the rubber.

Thanks John. I'll give it another try tomorrow, I'm worn out from trying today!
P.S. Have you had a chance to modify the LH duct for me yet? Brad
