Thermo Time Switch

I've traced my MFI start issues to the thermo time switch- Where is the damn thing? Any one have photos from a '70?

Garth,

The thermo time switch is in top of the engine, in the crankcase breather plate.

It is easy to check when out of the car. Do a Pelican search.

Best,
Grady

Thanks Grady. I'll check it out during my winter engine drop.

Garth,

If you pull off the air cleaner housing ... the Thermotime Switch is easily accessed for testing or removal ... right on top of the engine -- screwed into the left side of the oval breather cover at an angle, and the wiring is easy to remove and test. I would encourage you to keep the troubleshooting process going if you got this far on your own ... while the progress is fresh on the brain!

Here is a diagram ... #24 is the Thermo-Time Switch:
